The Place

Haus op der Gare, Drauffelt

  • The House.

The building is a 100 year-old house, which used to be the old train station building of Drauffelt, situated in a valley in the Luxembourgish Ardennes, which is called to be transformed into a multi-generational co-living project.

The house itself has a living space of approx. 300m2. It can be divided into 3 living areas. 2 individual apartments fully equipped, as well as in the main house a living area with dining kitchen, living room, studio, 5 rooms, a bathroom and toilet. Regarding the house structure, there is the possibility of living together with several generations and at the same time having enough privacy.

  • The Garden.

The property goes all around the house. Without any neighbors, the forest on the one side and the train rails on the other, there is no possibility to disturb or to be disturbed.

The garden offers plenty of space for creating an educative permaculture garden as well as a seminar and workshop room in a modular and sustainable design.

The garden becomes an important aspect of the whole project, since the vision is to create a participatory space for gardening, education and hands-on experiences through workshops, readings, courses ect.

This place is especially meant for children and families to bring back the connection with Nature and the knowledge of where our food comes from.
